To what extent is Kenner the mouthpiece of Chrighton?
-Chrighton uses Kenner as his mouthpiece to convey how he believes in proper research and funding to determine the factors of climate change. He does not believe the word of the ill-informed should be heard. Chrighton uses Kenner to say that with all the research done so far nobody ultimatly knows the causing factor of "global warming". He believes to some extent that climate change has been blown out of proportion and is uded in the media to put the people in a "State of Fear".
Is there to much talking? No i dont believe so. That is Kenner's persona of the book. He informs the ill-informed of what he believes and hopes they use his information. He hopes after aquiring new information that they change their views. Just as Chrighton says in his appendix.
